How do my points go up and down?

Everyone starts on 1,500 points. Every time you play a match that counts, they move. Beat someone and they go up. Lose and they go down.

How far they move depends on two things:

• Who you played. Beating someone better than you wins you more than beating someone you were expected to beat.
• How sure we are about you. When you're new we don't know much about you yet, so your points move a lot. After a few matches they settle down and move less.

Your points decide where you sit on the leaderboard, highest first. You get a place on it once your points have settled: see why you might not have a place yet.
