How rankings work
I'm new. Why don't I have a place on the leaderboard yet?
You will once you've played 3 different people and your points have settled. Until then you're on the leaderboard without a place number.
When you start, we don't know how good you are yet. Giving you a place straight away would mean one lucky win could put you at the top.
So for your first few matches your points are still settling. You'll see them on the leaderboard with a "Settling" label instead of a place number.
When do I get a place?
When both of these are true:
- You've played at least 3 different people who've signed up themselves (guests don't count).
- You've played enough for us to be fairly sure your points are right.
For most people that's a few matches. Once you have a place, you keep it, even after a long break. The only exception is if one of your results is undone and you no longer have enough matches.
