How rankings work
What does the away note next to someone's points mean?
They've missed months at a venue where they play. The note says how many points it cost them, and which months.
A note like −50 away Aug under someone's points means they missed a month when a venue where they play ran a tournament that goes on the leaderboard. They've lost 50 points on the leaderboard for each month they missed. The note says which months, or how many if it's more than three.
Their rating, how good we think they are, hasn't changed. It's only their points on the leaderboard.
Each series they play clears up to 3 of the missed months; the note goes once they're all cleared.
See why you lose points when you haven't played for how it works.
